From a young age, Ricky Simpson was drawn to fashion and design, sparked by a fascination with Nike trainers and their power to shape identity and perception. This early passion evolved into a deeper exploration of creativity, beginning with studies in Art & Design, and later advancing into 3D Design and Product Design.
Combining his lifelong love of style with formal design training, Ricky developed a multidisciplinary approach that led to the creation of his own clothing brand. His unique vision quickly gained recognitionmost notably from Virgil Abloh—and the brand became known as one of the standout names from the early wave of independent UK streetwear labels.
After 15 years of working across fashion and interiors, Ricky launched rsD studio, a space where his diverse design experience converges to create bold, forward-thinking projects that continue to blur the boundaries between fashion, product, and interior design.
rsD is an innovative multi-disciplinary design practice working across residential and commercial projects in the UK and internationally.
With a fresh, discerning eye and a modern aesthetic, our work explores the spirit of space and the possibilities of materiality. We find joy in the process of design from concept to creation crafting spaces, objects, and products intended for everyday life.
